Home Bar Design Ideas
If you have ever dreamed of owning a home bar but thought that this was unachievable then think again, with a little bit of design knowledge and inspiration you can create one. If you feel that you do not have the skills to construct one yourself you can always get the professionals in but firstly find out exactly what you want.
A straight bar is fairly simplistic to construct and usually is placed at the end of a room, spanning the whole width, on one side you have the bar with all of the drinks, usually kept in storage space under the counter and on the other side a row of bar stools. You can also design an L shaped bar which as the name suggests is in the shape of the letter L. The smaller part of the bar usually consists of a sink and places to prepare drinks.
Finally you have the choice of designing a corner bar, which is ideal if you have limited space. This basically just consists of a small cabinet in which to store drinks. You can then place bar stools in the allotted free space that is available. Once you have chosen the type of bar you then have to choose how it will look. What colour will it be and what finishes? If you simply want a home bar in which to relax and unwind after a hard day’s work then you are best choosing neutral colours and soft lighting.
However you may have decided upon a home bar in which to entertain your guests and this is where you can let your imagination run wild. One popular theme at the moment is that of the sports bar. For this theme you could include a wide screen television and dart board as well as a fridge to keep all of the beer ice cold.
Whatever your needs and requirements are there will be a home bar just for you so have fun in designing your dream home bar.
